SPEC's
Carbide 32 Hard Coatings
SPEC's Carbide 32 Hard Coatings are produced utilizing a proprietary carbide material and the most advanced Ultra High Velocity Thermal Spray System. Utilizing a gas stream velocity of approximately 6500 - 8500 FPS, coatings of SPEC's Carbide 32 exhibit excellent resistance to low temperature particle erosion and surface abrasion. The fine, controlled classification of the powders used helps to produce a very dense, hard and well-bonded coating with a fine as sprayed surface texture.
Ultra High Velocity Coatings typically outperform their Plasma Flame Sprayed equivalents by as much as 5:1 and work effectively in aggressive environments where plasma type coating typically fail. These machined coatings appear as a solid material and can be used in operation as sprayed, diamond ground to a 2-4 aa or superfinished to < 1 aa.
Carbide 32 series coatings are intended for use in applications where a high co-efficient of friction and smooth surface finish are required.
