STEEL PLANT EQUIPMENT CORPORATION is a 50,000 square foot facility, located in Eagleville, PA USA, devoted and equipped for the design, engineering, fabrication, covering, coating and repair of mill rolls for the steel, paper, aluminum, textile and other metal industries. We were established in 1954 to serve the noted industries. Since that time, STEEL PLANT EQUIPMENT CORPORATION has been in continuous operation and has expanded its capabilities to serve the foreign markets in all of North America, South America, the United Kingdom, Western Europe and Asia. The initial products and services that were offered were laminated plastic coverings for the steel industry. These were supplied either directly or through Original Equipment Manufacturers. SPEC offered a variety of laminated coverings that solved specific operating problems in the booming domestic steel market of the '50s, '60s, '70s and early 1980s. During this time, our engineering staff worked extremely closely with the engineering departments of UNITED STATES STEEL and other steel manufacturers in the development of roll coverings, coatings and designs for mill rolls in the Ferrostan Tinning Process. As a result of the success in the international and domestic tinning market, we expanded our goals to provide the same superior products and services to all Cold Mill Operating Units - Pickle Lines, Tandem Mills, Cleaning Lines, Annealing Lines, Galvanizing Lines, Coating Lines and all of the other associated mills used in the production of strip steel.
